Canon Japan has just filed new patent for large aperture RF mount prime lenses: RF 135mm f/1.4L USM DS, RF 50mm f/1.4L USM DS, RF 24mm f/1.4L USM DS. This new patent showcases some RF mount prime lenses that utilize Defocus Smoothing, which first appeared in the RF 85mm f/1.2L USM DS.

According to Japanese magazine Y.M.Cinema, in the recently interview with Yomiuri Shimbun, Canon’s Chairman and CEO Fujio Mitarai. He confirmed that Canon EOS-1D X Mark III is the last DSLR camera from Canon. Canon will end the development and production of its DSLR cameras, including the flagships, by transforming manufacturing to produce mirrorless systems only.
According to Nokishita, Canon has just register another two new lenses at Russian certification bodies. The codes of these two lenses are 5055C005 and 5056C005, we can expect official announcement of these two new lenses in next few months. Stay tuned for more info.
DxOMark has just tested the sensor of Canon EOS R3 (Amazon/B&H/Adorama/Canon Store). According to DxOMark, Canon EOS R3 has the highest sensor of all Canon cameras, it scored 96 points in DxOMark. And also Canon EOS R3‘s sensor is the best low light performer in their full-frame sensor database.
Today, Canon Japan issued a press release “Apology and guidance regarding the supply status of products”, says due to the impact of global parts supply, it could take more than six months before it is able to deliver on new EOS R3 (B&H/Adorama/Amazon/Focus Camera/Canon Direct Store) and RF 14-35mm f/4L IS USM lens (B&H/Adorama/Amazon) orders.
