Atomos and Canon have teamed up to offer an exciting enhancement to your Canon EOS R5 (B&H/Adorama/Amazon) camera and Atomos Ninja V+ monitor/recorder setup, with the latest firmware updates. By combining the Atomos AtomOS 10.68 update with the latest Canon EOS R5 firmware update, you will now be able to record external 8K ProRes RAW video from the R5 using the Ninja V+ via HDMI.
Raw recording on the R5 is usually limited to either 29 minutes, 59 second or by the thermal cut-off of the camera. Initiating recording from the Ninja V+ avoids the 29:59 limit and the reduced processor load inside the camera significantly lowers the risk of overheating.

The recently announced new features of white balance (WB) and ISO in Final Cut Pro gives creators even greater flexibility and control over their image processing during post-production.

Ninja V users will also benefit from AtomOS 10.68 with the ability to capture up to 5Kp30 ProRes RAW recording from the Canon EOS R5 alongside the other functionality included in the firmware update. White balance (WB) and ISO in Final Cut Pro adjustments will also be available to Ninja V users in post-production.
