Early hands-on reviews & first impressions for Canon EOS 6D Mark II (B&H Photo/Amazon/Adorama/Canon Store/FocusCamera/Wex Photo/Jessops/Amazon UK) are already available. Overall, Canon EOS 6D Mark II is a great camera at right price, with all cross-type 45 AF points and DPAF, image quality is very good, most people love its articulating touchscreen display, while lack of 4K Video, single SD card slot, AF points not spread out enough are week points.

Below are early reviews of Canon EOS 6D Mark II:

From Imaging-Resource:

Its image sensor is very good, Dual Pixel CMOS AF is an excellent inclusion and the new articulating touchscreen display is very useful in the field. The new features the camera includes may not be enough to make all 6D owners want to upgrade, but for users looking for a great full-frame DSLR that won’t break the bank, the Canon 6D Mark II may well be an excellent option.

From DigitalTrends:

When it comes to still photography, we found nothing to complain about. Physically, the camera feels very comfortable. Performance was also very good, and while it may not quite match the resolution of the 30MP 5D Mark IV, we doubt most photographers will appreciate the difference. Image quality is very good, with accurate colors and ample detail in both highlights and shadows. While our time with the 6D Mark II was relatively brief, we feel safe in calling it a worthy upgrade over the original – at least for still photography.

From thephoblographer:

the Canon 6D Mk II didn’t really miss any photos that I was focusing on. So far I’m really liking the Canon 6D Mk II. However, at the moment I’m not quite sure that I’m going to upgrade.

From TechRadar:

It feels great in the hand, and the ability to pull away the screen and control it by touch is a huge bonus. The lack of a 100% viewfinder is a pity, and the fact that the model also misses out on 4K video will disappoint some; however, there should be enough here to keep the target market happy.
