Canon Released a Full-size Ultra-sensitive CMOS Sensor Capable of Shooting Color Movies at Low Illuminance of 0.001 Lux or Less

Canon Japan has released a full-size ultra-sensitive CMOS sensor called “35MMFHDXSCA”. It can capture color moving images under the low-light environment of 0.001 lux * 1 or less, which is difficult to recognize subjects with the naked eye . By utilizing this product, we can respond to a wide range of needs of super high sensitivity shooting such as astronomical observation, monitoring of natural disaster, industrial use etc.

Canon Shows a Large Image Sensor that is 40 Times the Size of a Full-frame CMOS Sensor

Canon published an article that they are exploring the Large Sensor Image Future. They shows a 20-cm-square large image sensor is the largest size that can be manufactured based on these dimensions, and is equivalent to nearly 40 times the size of a 35 mm full-frame CMOS sensor.

Adobe Announced Lightroom CC & Lightroom Classic CC (No Lightroom 7 Standalone Version Now)

Adobe today has officially announced the new Adobe Lightroom CC and Lightroom Classic CC. With the release of Adobe Lightroom Classic CC, it means there will be no Lightroom 7 and no standalone version now. The Lightroom 6 is the last standalone version, will remain for sale for an undetermined amount of time, but will no longer be updated with camera support or bug fixes after the end of 2017.
