Rumors: Canon’s EOS RS will Surpass 61MP Sony a7R IV on the Megapixel

As already rumored before, Canon is going to release a new high megapixel EOS RS full frame mirrorless camera in late 2019 to early 2020. This EOS RS will replace current EOS 5DS & 5DS R DSLR cameras. Recently Sony announced the new a7R IV (B&H Photo/Adorama/Amazon) with 61MP full frame sensor, so expected Canon EOS RS will feature with a 70MP full frame sensor or more to surpass this 61MP a7R IV full frame sensor.

Rumors said that currently there are two sensors in testing for the upcoming Canon EOS RS, and Canon will getting into the spec wars, to release brand new advancements in sensor technology and has “caught up to Sony”.
