Canon has officially announced the new EOS Rebel SL3 (Adorama/B&H Photo Video/Amazon) entry-level DSLR camera today. EOS Rebel SL3 is the smallest and lightest DSLR ever. It uses the same 24MP APS-C CMOS sensor as its SL2 predecessor but adds a DIGIC 8 processor, eye-detection when using Dual Pixel AF, improved battery life and 4K video capture with a disappointingly huge crop. The Canon EOS Rebel SL3 will be available at the end of this month in either black or white color options for $549 body-only or $649 with 18-55mm f/4-5.6 IS STM lens included. Nokishita camera has just updated unannounced Canon camera code lists, along with the Canon EOS RP entry-level full frame mirrorless camera, Canon may announce a new entry APS-C DSLR camera/mirrorless camera next month.
Canon will have a new product announcement in next month, around mid February, just ahead of CP+ Show 2019 (Thu, Feb 28, 2019 – Sun, Mar 3, 2019). The leaked Canon EOS RP entry-level full frame mirrorless camera will be announced. The price for Canon EOS RP body is around $1,500 in US.
Here is an updated rumors for the second Canon full frame mirrorless camera. The rumored name is “Canon EOS R Pro”. It will receive a development announcement in January 2019. While official launch will be in a later date, maybe ahead of CP+ Show in February.
